POLARFOAM PF-7300-O SOYA is an environmentally friendly, high performance, 2lbs medium density closed cell rigid polyurethane foam. POLARFOAM adheres to the substrate which makes your structure stronger. With POLARFOAM you maintain maximum R-Vaule over the lifetime of the building. POLARFOAM insulation delivers an air barrier that surpasses conventional insulation materials and is considered a vapour barrier when applied over 2" thick.
Designed for use as a protective covering for foamed plastic insulation. In conjunction with fire protection, Therm-O-Barrier also offers superior thermal and acoustical properties. The additional R-Value gained from Therm-O-Barrier will cut down on your out of pocket expense by reducing the overall thickness of foam applied. This means homeowners can fire proof foamed plastic insulation at minimal additional cost.
Cellulose insulation has been used for decades in the industry. A green product made from 100% recycled wood products such as top quality newsprint. Unlike synthetic fibreglass materials, cellulose is manufactured from organic fibres with very little potential for skin irritation. Cellulose is treated with a blend of fire retardant additives and helps to protect your home or building from insects, mould, mildew, and other wood destroying fungi. Cellulose is an economical option for insulating your home that shows excellent results in reducing your energy costs.
Basements are quite often a source of heat loss. The options for basements are numerous; depending on your basement construction and whether the area is finished or unfinished. A great option for foundation walls and headers is polyurethane spray foam insulation. The completion of any basement project using spray foam offers the highest R-Value, additional structure to the building, and increases your comfort and savings.
Increasing the insulation in your attic to the recommended R50 level can reduce heat loss through your roof dramatically. We recommend loose fill cellulose fibre insulation either on its own or in conjunction with polyurethane spray foam to provide an air and vapour barrier.
No need to tear them down. Our process enables us to insulate existing wall cavities better than ever. A typical install is completed in just ONE day! Dense-Packed cellulose provides excellent R-Value (3.84/inch), reduces drafts, and adds comfort. We drill small 1/2” to 7/8” holes to minimize traces of the work that was done. We have the ability to insulate walls from the interior or exterior of the building depending on the type of structure. From the exterior we drill holes through the mortar joints or take off rows of siding and replace them upon completion. From the inside we drill 7/8" holes through the plaster or drywall. All access holes are filled upon completion leaving your home much warmer, with very little mess or interuption to your everyday life.
Foamed plastic insulation is required to be covered by a thermal barrier. Typically drywall is used for this in new construction or when retrofitting and finishing a room. When it comes to crawl spaces or unfinished basements, your best option is applying Therm-O-Barrier coating over the foam to provide a fire barrier. The application of Therm-O-Barrier is quick and easy, leaving you up to code with minimal effort.
